Matthew Luke: Argh… ang init. Hindi tuloy ako makapag-concentrate sa PSP ko.
Hyacinth: At ang aircon natin, biglang nasira kung kailan ito talaga mapapakinabangan! Kahit na nakabukas ang mga bintana, wa epek pa rin?! Sira tuloy ang surfing ko sa Internet!
Matthew Luke: Sigurado ako na yung mga ibang kasama natin ay nangingitngit din sa init. Dahil sa lumalaki nating pwersa, hindi kakayanin ng swimming pool natin ang buong samahan.
Hyacinth: Alam ko na ang susunod na sasabihin mo, Matt.
Matthew Luke: Bakasyon sa beach, di ba?
Hyacinth: At alam ko kung ano ang gagawin mo roon: tumingin at tumingin sa mga naka-bikining babae. Hehehe.
Matthew Luke: Hyacinth, mukhang binabasa mo yung mga tinatago ko sa ilalim ng kama ko, di ba?
Hyacinth: Ngayon ay bistado ka na. Maginoo ka nga, pero medyo bastos!
Matthew Luke: Di ba OK ang ganoong lalaki kumpara sa lalaking sobrang maginoo, tulad ng kinanta ni DJ Alvaro?
Hyacinth: Ehh… uhmm… Sige, Matt! You win! Tawagin natin ang buong Nueva Liga Filipina!

The childhood friends then call on all of the Stars of Destiny to the expansive front lot of Balay Kapatiran.

Matthew Luke: Sigurado ako na tulad namin ni Hyacinth, naiimbyerna kayong lahat sa init.
Mizuki: Oo. Mas mainit nga sa Pilipinas kumpara sa Japan — hindi tuloy ako nakakahinga!
Ayu: Ako rin. Uguu~~
Misuzu: Dapat sanay sana tayong lahat sa init, tulad ko. Nihaha. Pero dahil sa climate change…
Hyacinth: Misuzu, alam namin ang concern mo. At yung iba dyan sa atin ay sawa na sa swimming pool natin, hindi ba?
Pritong Kandule: Oo. Minsan may mga kumag mula sa labas na umiihi habang nasa pool. Ipi-PBP ko sila! PBP! PBP!
Mr. Tulfo: Whatever the circumstances, we all deserve a break. Dapat ay mabawasan natin ang stress kung gusto nating maging alisto sa lahat ng oras.
Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) Ngayon, dapat nating magdesisyon kung saan tayo magbabakasyon.
Boy: Sino ang unang magpapanukala?

Just then, Hyacinth’s mother, Ma. Yukina, cut in.

Ma. Yukina: Dapat ay mag-Boracay tayong lahat!
Hyacinth: (noticing her) Mama, bakit?
Ma. Yukina: Doon kasi nagkakilala ang mga magulang ko, eh. Yun pala, (facing the NLF) kung wala kayong ideya kung sino sila, ang tatay ko ay Kastila, at ang nanay ko ay Haponesa. Nakatungtong sila ng Boracay ng ilang beses, at doon sila nagkamabutihan. Minabuti nilang magpa-naturalize bilang Pilipino at magpakasal dito, kaya hayun.
Michael V.: Wow! Maganda nga ang dahilan! Gusto ngang pumunta sa Bora, eh!
Mr. Tulfo: At sigurado ako na may mga iba diyan na atat din na magbakasyon doon, di ba?
Keanna: Yes na yes! Talagang ilalantad ko na ang seksi kong katawan!
Meis: (drools) Ahahahay! Makaka-jackpot ako rito sa bakasyon grande! Salamat sa inyong dalawa!
Korina & Mel: Ayusin mo nga ang porma mo, casanova blacksmith!
Matthew Luke: OK… wala nga bang mag-o-object sa bakasyon?

Five seconds of silence dominates the field.

Matthew Luke: Talagang excited na tayong lahat. Siyempre, may mga ibang mga staffers na magbabantay habang tayo’y nakabakasyon, di ba?
Mr. Tulfo: Good thing. I will instruct my buffer staff to guard Balay Kapatiran while we’re away.
Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) I sa-summon ko ang mga “Jupopayans” ko na tumulong na rin sa pagbabantay.
Hyacinth: OK, everyone, dapat magprepara tayong lahat. Lalarga tayo sa a-singko ng buwang ito.
Matthew Luke: For one week, mamamalagi tayo sa Bora para ma-experience natin ang buong kagandahan ng isla, OK?
The rest of the NLF: OK!

May 5, 2007. All preparations for the Boracay vacation are complete. Via the Emblem Frames, the Gundams, the five components of Voltes V, and Raijin-Oh, the Nueva Liga Filipina (plus Hyacinth’s parents, Katie’s friends, and Kaede) sets off.

Upon arrival at Boracay, specifically the White Beach…

Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: HELLOOOOO BORA!
Kaede: Wow! Ang ganda nga ng isla!
Sam: Indeed, Boracay ain’t a tourist destination for nothing.
Pinacolada Neko: Hmmm… ngayon ay meron akong natatanto. Sa bakasyon nating ito, meron tayong dalawang mare-recruit na Stars of Destiny.
Hyacinth: Uy, ayos, a. Sino kaya ang mga bagong recruits natin?
Matthew Luke: Who knows? At least, meron pa rin tayong nagagawa kahit na bakasyon. Productivity matters most in the end.
Hyacinth: OK, everyone! You can start the fun right now! Kahit kami, kating-kati nang mag-swimming, eh!

The NLF splits up into several groups. Each group has its own way of having fun.

The sword-wielders (Hero, Pritong Kandule, Joseph, Gerald, Saber, and Korina) decide to have a blind watermelon smashing contest, as a means of training. Sandara cheers on.

Yumi, Sachiko, Mizuki, Asa, Erich, and Keanna decide to play beach volleyball. Of course, several men are distracted by Keanna’s bouncing “ballistics”, which infuriates Mizuki very much.

Multi, Serio, and Reverie just wear their summer clothes and stand atop a giant rock structure, which lets them see the breadth of the white-sand beach and the ocean blue.

Meis peeks behind trees for his own “Operation Babe Hunt” (God knows how this will end).

Ranpha, Aoi, and Kim practice their martial arts while in their swimsuits, with the rest of the Galaxy Angels (plus Nene) guarding them from perverts.

Nash, Nikki, Katie, and Jin build a huge sand castle, with the help of Mirmo and his other fairies plus Katie’s friends.

Batista, Zenki, and Hard Gay decide to have a drinking contest involving… POWERTHIRST! ROCKET EDITION!

Hyacinth’s parents and Kaede are busy at work preparing lunch, which is composed of grilled hotdogs, veggie kebabs, Java rice, and special iced coffee.

The other Stars of Destiny just stay on the shore, either frolicking in the waters or just plainly enjoying the view while under the protection of beach umbrellas.

And as for Matthew Luke and Hyacinth? After they’ve had enough of swimming, they chance upon Keanna, Kim, and Gerald.

Matthew Luke: Oh. Tapos na ba kayo?
Gerald: Uh, actually kasi… meron yata kaming nakitang pamilyar sa amin, eh.
Kim: Gumagala siya sa beach na parang may hinahanap na ginto.
Keanna: Mukhang Hapon yata siya.

And then, someone “ambushes” the three.

Japanese man: Oi! Kumusta kayong mga kasama ko!
Keanna, Kim, and Gerald: Ah! Ikaw pala si Ya Chang!
Hyacinth: Whoa! Parang tinakot n’yo pa kami!

The man named Ya Chang humbly apologizes.

Ya Chang: Sorry kung naabala ko kayo. Hindi ko inaasahang magkikita pa tayo… Keanna-san, Kim-san, at Gerald-san.
Kim: OK lang iyan, Ya Chang. Palagi ka kasing masayahin, eh.
Ya Chang: Bakit kayo nandirito sa Boracay?
Gerald: Bakasyon. Simple lang.
Ya Chang: Ah! Nagbabakasyon din ako rito, eh! At kayong dalawa… kayo yung mga lider ng Nueva Liga Filipina, di ba?
Matthew Luke: Walang duda… kami iyon! Matthew Luke Laonglaan and Hyacinth Monterola, at your service.
Ya Chang: Ah, kasi… balak ko kasing sumali din sa samahan ninyo, eh. Bukod doon sa mga kasamahan ko dati sa “Aalog-alog”, meron din akong nakita na mga babae na dati kong nakasalamuha.
Hyacinth: Well, ipaliwanag n’yo. Meron pa kaming free time, eh.
Ya Chang: Ganito kasi iyon… Noong naghahasik ng lagim si Melficio Victorialuna, at nakita ko ang katapangan nina Hiroyuki Fujita, Akari Kamigishi, at ang kanilang mga kaibigan… iniisip ko… na tumulong sa kanilang kampanya upang magapi ang mokong na iyon… gamit ang isang replica ng isang espada na kung tawagin ay Glamdring. Binili ko iyon na pagkamahal-mahal mula sa Internet… at saka ko ito pinahusay gamit ang aking nalalaman sa paglikha ng katana. Tapos, hinamon ko si Hiroyuki na hanapin ang mga babaeng nagngangalang Konomi Yuzuhara et al., upang maibigay ko sa kanya ang aking obra maestra. Ngayong ilan sa mga kaibigan nina Hiroyuki ay bahagi na ng Nueva Liga Filipina, gusto ko na ako mismo ang sasali sa kanila dahil tulad ko, sila’y mga purong Hapon na merong pagmamahal sa Pilipinas.
Matthew Luke: Maganda nga ang rason mo. Sige… dahil gusto mo lang naman ng reunion… pasok ka na sa Nueva Liga Filipina as a Star of Destiny.
Ya Chang: (jumps in joy) YATTA!

The day then turns into night, and some of the Stars enjoy the bonfire under a starry night sky, while others enjoy a good night’s sleep.

May 10, 2007. The Nueva Liga Filipina lost no time in enjoying their week-long vacation.

One time, Pinacolada Neko chances upon another one of her friends. His name is Tintin.

Pinacolada Neko: T-Tintin?
Tintin: Bad trip na ako ngayon. Ewan ko ba yung pinagtatrabahuan kong hotel… medyo masungit ang staff at management, tapos meron silang karapatan na i-violate ang privacy ko?! Buti eh naglayas ako sa hotel na iyon. Ire-report ko yung lintik na hotel na iyon kay Mr. Ben Tulfo, dahil alam ko na bilang isang detective/journalist/adventurer… mapagkakatiwalaan ko siya.
Pinacolada Neko: O siya, siya. Dahil kilala ko si Mr. Tulfo, you can join the Nueva Liga Filipina now.
Tintin: What’s that?
Pinacolada Neko: I’ll explain it to you later.

Pinacolada Neko and Tintin then found the childhood friends relaxing under a fancy beach umbrella.

Hyacinth: Oh, Pinacolada Neko. Kaibigan mo iyon?
Pinacolada Neko: Oh, yes. Siya si Tintin.

Tintin then introduces himself.

Matthew Luke: Oh, nice to meet you, Tintin.
Tintin: Actually, dahil nasa samahan ninyo ang kaibigan ko, pwede mo ba akong bigyan ng isang disenteng trabaho?
Matthew Luke: Hmm… yes. Dahil meron kaming elevator, naisip ko na gawin kang… elevator operator.
Tintin: Elevator operator?! Detective, journalist, at adventurer ako all in one!
Matthew Luke: Hindi sa minamaliit yung abilidad mo… pero marunong ka bang mag-manage ng isang elevator?
Tintin: Actually, elevator operator ako dati sa isang hotel dito sa Boracay. Pero dahil sa masungit at maliit magpasweldo ang mga amo ko, naisipan kong lumayas na lang.
Matthew Luke: Well, pwede kang sumali sa amin. Bukod kasi sa pagiging elevator operator mo, eh… pwede mo rin alalayan si Pinacolada Neko sa kanyang trabaho.
Pinacolada Neko: Aww… nakaka-touch naman.
Hyacinth: Now we consider you, Tintin, as a Star of Destiny. Your work starts today… kahit na nakabakasyon kami.
Tintin: Thank you. Nagagalak akong pagsilbihan ang mga mababait na tulad ninyo.

Two Stars of Destiny have been recruited over the course of the Boracay vacation that ended on May 12. Now that the army’s energy has been restored and their stress has been reduced, they can now go back to their normal work, refreshed.

But what Matthew and Hyacinth don’t know…

..is that six figures are about to do something.

???? 1: Nag-byebye na ako sa samahan mo, Matthew Luke. Dahil ikaw ay makakagambala sa mga plano kong hanapin ang kaibigan ko…
???? 2: Ggghh… anong nagyayari sa utak ko… parang… nabubuwang na ako…

Jeremy was recruited in mid-April, but the Nueva Liga Filipina needs to recruit some more stronghold personnel, just because they have to.

Matthew Luke and Hyacinth had a very hard time looking for a competent blacksmith who could temper and strengthen their weapons without fail. They relied on an unnamed apprentice blacksmith for their weapons improvement before, but they felt that they wanted to gain more mileage out of their weapons. Before looking for a new blacksmith, the childhood friends reminded the old blacksmith that he will not be replaced — he will act as an assistant blacksmith to the new one instead.

After reminding, the childhood friends then set out on a recruitment drive.

Outside EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, they encounter a young man with a sledgehammer on his back. The man is surrounded by several beautiful girls.

Matthew Luke: Hmm… ito yung unang pagkakataon ko na makakita ang isang totoong “harem party”.

The sledgehammer-wielding man, after hearing Matt’s comment, takes notice of Hyacinth, who’s standing close to Matt, and does the predictable…

…grabbing her hand. Naturally, Hyacinth is furious.

Hyacinth: HOY! Anong ginagawa mo diyan?!
Man: Ang kyut mo kasi, eh. Pwede bang maging forging partner mo?
Hyacinth: Hindi, no! Ang laki-laki naman kasi ng harem mo… pero ayokong maging bahagi nito! First impression pa lang… alam kong bastos na babaero ka!

Matt, meanwhile, has the decency to calm down the situation. The girls surrounding the man just stand there, as if they are just mere spectators.

Matthew Luke: Excuse me… please, pakawalan mo siya. Hindi siya nasisiyahan sa iyo.
Man: Pero tanong ko lang — girfriend mo ba siya?
Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: NO! We’re just friends.
Man: Kung gayon… (lets go of Hyacinth’s hand) I’m sorry na.
Hyacinth: Huwag mo nang gagawin ito sa akin, o sa anumang natitripan mong babae, sa susunod, OK?
Matthew Luke: Yun pala. Meron kang sledgehammer sa likod, di ba?
Man: Siyampre naman.
Matthew Luke: Blacksmith ka ba? Sa unang tingin ko pa lang kasi eh, mukha ka nang isang batang Hugh Hefner.
Man: Hoooy, don’t mistake me for that Playboy founder! Pero oo, blacksmith nga ako. Kung tinatanong ninyo kung bakit may mga babaeng umaaligid sa akin, ipapaliwanag ko. Ako ay si Meis Triumph, isang Spirit Blacksmith. Para maging isang bihasang Spirit Blacksmith, kailangan kong bumuo ng isang magandang relasyon sa isang babae na kaanib sa isang partikular na elemento. For example, kung kailangan kong gumawa ng isang espada na may kapangyarihan ng apoy, kailangang makahanap ako ng babae na may ganoong elemental alignment.
Hyacinth: Hmmm… OK yun, ah. Akala ko, simpleng babaero ka pala. Pero meron ka pa ring silbi sa mundo. Kasi ba naman… kailangan kasi namin ng isang expert blacksmith na talagang magpapalakas sa aming mga sandata, no matter what type.
Meis: Uy, perfect! Sa katunayan kasi, wala pa akong natitiyempuhang trabaho noong ma-warp ako sa lupaing ito, eh. Di ko nga alam kung anong pangalan ng kahariang ito, eh. Pero may mga babaeng lumapit sa akin para alalayan ako.
Matthew Luke: OK. Bago ang lahat, ang lupaing kinatatayuan natin ngayon ay ang bansang Pilipinas, sa planetang Earth. At bago ka sumali sa samahan namin, kailangang patunayan mo ang galing mo.
Meis: Sige, game ako.

Back at the Balay Kapatiran…

Matthew Luke: OK, gamit ang skills mo bilang Spirit Blacksmith, kailangang merong fire elemental powers ang ordinaryong espadang ito.
Meis: OK.

After a few hours, the childhood friends check up on Meis. He was cheerfully swinging his sword, with one of girls in his harem clinging tightly to his waist.

Hyacinth: Siguro’y atat na atat na kayong dalawa, ah. OK… ma-testing nga yung espadang ginawa mo.

Hyacinth picks up the forged sword and swings it gallantly. With every swing, small sparks of fire can be seen. She then hands over the sword to Matthew Luke, who also swings the sword, with the same results.

Matthew Luke: Ooohh… Kumbinsing! Talagang malaki ang maitutulong mo sa aming samahan, Meis Triumph! (puts down sword) Sige… ikaw ngayon ay kabahagi ng Nueva Liga Filipina. Ako ay si Matthew Luke Laonglaan, ang founder and leader ng samahang ito…
Hyacinth: …at ako naman ay si Hyacinth Monterola, ang co-founder and co-leader. Dios mabalos.
Matthew Luke: Sige, Meis, pagbutihan mo. At saka, meron kang maituturo sa apprentice blacksmith namin.

And thus, Meis Triumph is recruited as the stronghold’s blacksmith and weapons researcher. The next day, the childhood friends check up on Meis again. To their surprise… they find out that the assistant apprentice blacksmith also has a harem of his own.

Matthew Luke: ‘Ika nga sa isang classic anti-illegal drugs commercial… “Masters who have harems have students who have harems”. Ehehehe…

Some days later…

The childhood friends receive a message from an anonymous sender, sent via snail mail. The message reads:

“NAIA. 2:30 pm. I will go in and out with a bang.”

Matthew Luke: NAIA? Siguro… meron tayong marerecruit na isang foreigner.
Hyacinth: OK lang sa atin… basta makakatulong sa samahan natin at sa Pilipinas.

The two arrive at the airport normally, when…

Voice from nowhere: MABUHAY, HOOOOO~!

They are naturally surprised by the arrival of a man docked in a sleeveless, skin-tight black leather vest, black leather hot pants, black shades, and a black leather cap with the letters “HG” all emblazoned in crystal — who performs pelvic thrusts without fail.

Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: HARD GAY?!
Hard Gay: YES! The one, the only, the original… Hard Gay! Okaaay~!

Hard Gay stops his pelvic thrusting in order not to cook up a scandal.

Matthew Luke: Mabuhay. Welcome to the Philippines, Masaki Sumitani.
Hyacinth: Napapanood ka namin dati sa Internet, Hard Gay. Pero hindi namin inaasahan na pupunta ka rito. Bakit naman?
Hard Gay: Kahit sa Japan, eh… maugong ang mga balita tungkol sa samahang Nueva Liga Filipina dahil sa mga Pilipinong nakakasalamuha ko. Nag-research ako tungkol sa samahang ito, at nadiskubre ko na malaki ang papel ninyo sa pagpigil sa isang madugo sanang network war sa Pilipinas. Alam mo kasi sa Japan, kahit na sineserbisyuhan ako ng Fuji TV, naniniwala ako sa konsepto ng fair competition.
Hyacinth: Oo naman. Hindi maganda sa business kung puro batuhan ng putik ang kumpetisyon.
Matthew Luke: At saka, perfect timing ka. Ngayon kasi, nag-eexpand kami ng operations, so to speak — at kailangan namin ng mga bagong recruits. Welcome na welcome ka sa aming samahan, Mr. Razor Ramon.
Hard Gay: Nakaka-touch naman. Kayo pala ang mga lider ng Nueva Liga Filipina, Matthew Luke Laonglaan at Hyacinth Monterola, di ba?
Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: Oo naman.
Hard Gay: (going ecstatic and doing pelvic thrusts again) Ngayon ay maipapakita ko sa buong mundo na kahit magkaiba ang lahi ay pwedeng magsama-sama ang mga tao sa isang marangal na bukas, HOOOOO~!

And thus, Masaki “Razor Ramon Hard Gay” Sumitani is recruited as one of Nueva Liga Filipina’s main combatants and as a Star of Destiny.

Blue-haired girl: Bakit wala pa ring kumakagat sa aking “extreme fighting” classes? Kahit na ako’y isa sa mga sumali sa Edsa War… ewan ko ba… kung ganito kaikli ang memorya ng mga Pilipino, babalik na lang ako sa Japan…

At the Balay Kapatiran’s control center…

Ben Tulfo takes notice of the blue-haired girl’s concern.

Mr. Tulfo: I know this girl. She is Aoi Matsubara, one of the personalities involved in the Edsa War. Furthermore, some of her friends are now in our organization. Maybe it would be best if Multi, Serio, Shiho, Lemmy, and Serika will convince Aoi to join the Nueva Liga Filipina. Sige, ipatatawag ko sila.

Sir Bitag then contacts the five girls and briefs them about Aoi’s plea. He then sends them off to the Makati Shangri-La.

Some minutes later…

Shiho: Aoi, hello!
Aoi: Shiho? Multi? Serio? Lemmy? Serika? Bakit nandito kayong lima?
Lemmy: Simple lang naman ang aming pakay, eh. Kinukumbinsi ka namin na sumali ka sa Nueva Liga Filipina.
Aoi: Gusto ko nga sanang sumali sa organisasyong sinasabi ninyo dahil sa inyo… pero kailangang may kumagat muna sa aking iniaalok na extreme fighting classes!
Multi: Pero wala kang napapala dito, Aoi! Imbis na magmaktol ka dito, sumali ka na kasi sa amin ngayon din!
Serika: (displaying puppy-dog eyes) …

After several minutes of convincing, Serio decides to say the following.

Serio: Tungkol sa extreme fighting classes na iniaalok mo… merong dalawang miyembro sa samahan namin na pwedeng maging mga estudyante mo. Sa ganoong paraan, mas marami ang matuturuan ng iyong martial arts.
Aoi: T-talaga?!
Serio: Oo. Nakita ko pa nga ang dadlawang iyon na nagsasanay noong isang araw.

Aoi, after giving some seconds of deep thought…

Aoi: (face glows) Sige! Game na ako! Kung iyan lang ang paraan upang may maituturo ako sa mga tao, sasali na ako sa samahan n’yo! Tagalang… it brings back good memories!

Back at the Balay Kapatiran…

Serio: Ito yung dalawang estudyanteng tinutukoy ko kanina… sina Ranpha Franboise at Kim Chiu.
Aoi: (greets Ranpha and Kim) Nice to meet you.
Ranpha & Kim: Nice to meet you, too.
Aoi: Hmmm… napapansin ko na meron kang pulang aura, Ranpha.
Ranpha: Baka dahil iyan sa suot kong pula, Aoi.
Aoi: At ikaw naman, Kim… meron kang dilaw na aura.
Kim: Huh? Ako?
Aoi: At ako naman, na may asul na aura… ay magtuturo sa inyo sa aking inimbentong martial art, ang extreme fighting.
Kim: Hmm… hindi naman masama kung tuturuan tayo ng isa pang martial art…
Ranpha: …kung iyon lang naman ang mas ikalalakas namin.
Aoi: Sige! Ngayon, magbubuo tayo ng isang power trio na kung tawagin ay ang “Jungle Fist”!
Ranpha & Kim: OK! Game kami! Mukhang may potential ka kasi, eh!

After he was transported via a pillar of light, he was sent into a serene grassfield at late morning. Other than wide expanses of grass, you can also see six simple doorless gates.

Jeremy is gradually gaining consciousness, and while in the process of doing so, he hears several voices.

“Meron kang dugong dayuhan, kaya hindi ka bagay maging Pinoy Big Brother winner. Tandaan mo… PINOY Big Brother ang pangalan ng reality show, kaya dapat puro Pinoy lang ang dapat sasali!”

“Isang anime fan, gustong sumali sa isang reality show!? Kahangalan! Kabalbalan!”

“Ayaw namin ng isa pang mananakop! Ayaw naming bumalik sa mga panahong sinakop tayo ng mga mapagsamantalang dayuhan!”

“Dapat ang ipangalan sa iyo ay Wa! Wala ka kasing ka-appeal-appeal!”

“Kapag nanalo ka sa Pinoy Big Brother, magiging malaking insulto ka sa mga dati nang nanalo!”

“Ano ba ang maibibigay mo sa madla kapag sakaling nanalo ka? Wala!”

And then…

Out of each of the six gates, a fully-armored knight comes out, ready to assail Jeremy in a heartbeat.

Jeremy attempted to transform into OmegaBreak; but his morpher, the BraceThrottle, was nowhere to be found.

Jeremy: Tch… bakit pa kasi ako nabuhay pa? Tapos meron pang anim na sumusugod sa akin. Hindi bale na. Lalaban pa rin ako… kung gusto kong matalo ang hinayupak na Wendy na ‘yan at makamit ang hustisya!

With only his martial arts skills as a weapon, he prepares to assault the armored assailants.

What’s more amazing… is that the assailants removed their helmets to reveal the following: Tomokazu Sugita, Yui Horie, Hikaru Midorikawa, Rie Kugimiya, Akira Kamiya, and Megumi Hayashibara — his six favorite Japanese voice actors whom he can summon via his BraceThrottle.

Tomokazu Sugita, Yui Horie, Hikaru Midorikawa, Rie Kugimiya, Akira Kamiya, Megumi Hayashibara: Jeremy Hidano… nagtagumpay ka sa aming pagsubok. Kinasangkapan mo ang lakas namin gamit ang morpher mo… at pinatunayan mo na hindi ka palaging magdedepende sa amin upang magtagumpay. The six then handed a shard each of Jeremy’s morpher. Jeremy gladly accepts the shards, and they miraculously reformed into the BraceThrottle in his wrist. With a determined look on his face, he pumps his right fist into the air.

The batlle formally ends with both Jeremy and the voice actors disappearing via pillars of light. And then…

Jeremy wakes up in front of Balay Kapatiran. He is found by Lito Camo when the latter was in the middle of finding a suitable leaf as a wind instrument (God bless Levi Celerio).

Lito: Hoy… ikaw ba si Jeremy Hidano? Yung pinatalsik sa Pinoy Big Brother na walang due process?!
Jeremy: Oo. Ako nga yon. Magsisinungaling ba ako?
Lito: Hindi naman kita pinagdududahan, eh. Dali! Tawagin sina Matt, Hyacinth, at Sir Bitag!

Minutes later, at the control center…

Matthew Luke: So… ikaw si Jeremy Hidano, yung aspiring voice actor na housemate sana sa Pinoy Big Brother…
Jeremy: …kung hindi sana nagkaroon ng lutong-makaw.
Hyacinth: Ano nga ba ang dahilan at ika’y pintalsik sa Bahay ni Kuya? Hindi namin masagap yung dahilan. Parang may nagyayaring news blackout.

Jeremy explains how Wendy manipulated everything in PBB in her favor.

Mr. Tulfo: Naku… kung matutuloy ang gusto ng kolokoy na Wendy Valdez na iyan… titiwalag ang Endemol sa licensing deal sa Pinoy Big Brother, at iyon ay magdudulot ng pangamba sa mga foreign investors. Now we understand your plight.

And then, Mike Punzalan cut in.

Mike: Ah… ikaw si Jeremy, no? Isang anime fan at aspiring dubber? Siguradong lalago ang anime dubbing industry dahil nandito ka ngayon sa samahan namin.
Jeremy: Ah, ikaw pala si Mike Punzalan. Kung para sa ikagagalak ng mga anime fan ang mga maitutulong natin, walang problema sa akin.
Matthew Luke: Well… mabuti naman at nadagdagan na naman tayo ng isang kakampi. Jeremy… (while tapping his shoulder) makukuha mo rin ang katarungan… basta tulong-tulong tayong lahat.

And thus, Jeremy Lopez Hidano is recruited as one of Nueva Liga Filipina’s main combatants and as a Star of Destiny.

The solution that they discovered, upon consultation from Sir Bitag, lies at the Tower of Ar Amorsolo, located near the windmills in Bangui, Ilocos Norte.

And so, the three set off.

Len: Hello! Bale… kayong tatlo ang didiskubre ng sikreto ng tore ng Ar Amorsolo, di ba? Ni-refer kayo ni Mr. Tulfo dahil kayong tatlo ang mga pinakamainam na kandidato para dito.
Nikki: Oo naman, Len.
Len: Ang toreng ito ay may 30 palapag na kailangan ninyong akyatin, siyempre. Sa tuktok ninyo makikita ang mga kapwa ko Vocaloid na siyang aktuwal na maghahayag ng sikreto.
Shiho: Hm. Pero magagarantiya ba nila na gaganda ang mga singing voices namin nang hindi gumagamit ng mga pesteng pambibirit?
Len: Alam ninyo naman, makapagkakatiwalaan si Mr. Tulfo, eh. Galit na galit nga siya sa mga manloloko.
Yeng: Sige, game na kami. Kung mamarapatin ay pwede sumali ka bilang tower guide.
Len: Walang problema, siyempre.

And thus, Len accompanies the three girls as their tower guide.

The three aspiring girls then introduce themselves to the three Vocaloids.

Miku: Ngayon, seryosong usapan ito. Nang ipagawa namin ang tore ng Ar Amorsolo para may mapagsilbihang tahanan ang mga Vocaloid sa Pilipinas, napansin namin ang isang problema.
Rin: Isang diva na nangngangalang Regine Velasquez ang nagsimula ng isang trend… the trend of belting. Sa Filipino, ang pambibirit.
Luka: Higit 25 taon na siyang umaawit, at siyempre, kilalang-kilala siya ng mga Pilipino dahil sa kanyang naiambag sa industriya ng musika. She deserves the title “Asia’s Songbird”, even for us Vocaloids.
Miku: Pero ang ikinahihinagpis namin… ay ang lantarang panggagaya ng ibang mga diva kay Regine. Nilikha kaming mga Vocaloid upang magbigay-aliw gamit ang sarili naming diskarte sa pag-awit… nang hindi gamit ang pambibirit. Pero… hindi pa rin kami pinapansin ng maraming Pinoy… kahit may mga anime fans dito sa ‘Pinas na sumusuporta sa amin.
Rin: Bakit kaya ang Pilipino, gustong-gusto kapag nahihirapan ang singer? Ito kaya ay sanay na sila sa mga birit ni Regine, o masokista lang sila?

Once the harmonics gauges of Miku, Rin, and Luka are all filled up, Nikki, Shiho, and Yeng enter a semi-tranced state. The Vocaloids stop attacking, knowing that the three candidates are ready to inherit their powers.

A spell code is inputted into the three candidates’ minds, and they must declare the spells in order to finish the battle. Thus…

Wielding both a brand-new singing power and a gospel regarding the very essence of singing in their hearts — Nikki Bagaporo, Shiho Nagaoka, and Yeng Constantino all left the tower of Ar Amorsolo. The three girls aspire to entertain and enlighten people of all shapes and sizes — as pseudo-Reyvateils.

(Note: Nikki, Shiho, and Yeng each get a new command — Reyvateil Mode. This command changes the three’s movesets into song magic. Nikki inherits Miku’s song magic, Shiho inherits Rin’s song magic, and Yeng inherits Luka’s song magic. And when all three are in Reyvateil Mode, they all have a cooperative attack, Tower Connection, that draws the power from the Tower of Ar Amorsolo in order to deal non-elemental damage to all enemies. Reyvateil Mode can also be reverted via the Normal Mode command.)

But even in a relaxed time like this, Matthew Luke and Hyacinth notice one thing: the stronghold, Balay Kapatiran, is inadequately staffed. With approval from the chief strategist, Ben Tulfo; and the assistant strategist, Ogie Diaz; the childhood friends set off for a recruitment of potential stronghold staff.

At the Magallanes MRT station, the childhood friends stumble upon two cloaked women.

Matthew Luke: Psst… hoy! Yung mga naka-cloak!
Hyacinth: Hoy Matt, hindi ito ang tamang pagtrato sa mga nakakubling tao. Watch me.

With her cute, little sister-like personality, she approaches the women.

Hyacinth: Excuse me lang po. Sino po ba kayo? At bakit kayo naka-cloak?
Cloaked woman A: Ah… pero bago ko sagutin yung tanong mo, alalayan mo muna kami sa isang hindi-mataong lugar.
Hyacinth: Hmm… OK.

The childhood friends and the two cloaked women then mosey on to a trendy cafe near Asia Pacific College. After removing their cloaks, the two women introduce themselves.

Matthew Luke: Sorry kung dinisrespeto ko kayong dalawa kanina. Ngayon, magpakilala kayo.
Joelle: Ako ay si Joelle Pelaez, isang ex-beauty queen. Na-link ako dati kay dating pangulong Joseph Estrada, pero nagsawa na rin ako sa kanyang mga kabalbalan. Noong nagsampa ako ng kaso laban sa kanya, may tumawag sa akin. Sabi niya, “Dahil tumiwalag ka kay Erap, matitikman mo ang galit ng masang Pilipino. Ang galit na iyon ang papatay sa iyo!” Kaya ako dumulog sa inyo, mga lider ng Nueva Liga Filipina, para bigyan ako ng proteksyon — at saka para makapagsimula ako ng isang panibagong buhay.
Hyacinth: Ah, sige. Yun pala… tungkol pala sa aming samahan… meron kaming planong magtayo ng isang inn. Kaya lang, hindi pa kami nakakahanap ng mga maintainers, eh.
Joelle: Ah, perfect! Gusto ko ngang magtayo ng sariling inn, eh. Ngayon, dahil sa inyong dalawa, matutupad na rin ang pangarap ko. Ito pala ang aking kasama at ang aking magiging assistant, si Mami Tomoe.
Mami: Magandang araw sa inyong dalawa. Ako ay si Mami Tomoe.
Matthew Luke: (Wow. Ang laki ng… hinaharap niya.)
Hyacinth: (Hmph. Maginoo ka nga… pero medyo bastos!)
Mami: Ewan ko ba kung bakit ako napadpad sa Pilipinas… basta ang naalala ko… may isang mukhang lumulutang na handang… ano… ayokong maalala iyon! Nakaka-trauma ang pangyayaring iyon sa akin!

Mami broke down in tears, and she was consoled by Joelle afterwards.

Joelle: Sige, tahan na, Mami. Ah, yun pala. Nakita ko si Mami sa isang damuhan habang papatakas ako mula sa mga goons ni Erap. Ayun… naging magkaibigan kaming dalawa.
Mami: (striving to stop her tears) O-OK lang ako, Joelle. Itutuloy ko na ngayon ang aking istorya. Dahil sa magkaibigan na kami ngayon ni Joelle, aprub sa akin ang pagiging assistant ng inn na ipapatayo niya. Lalagyan ko ng sariling diskarte ang inn — maghahain ako ng tsaa para sa mga customers!
Hyacinth: Wow naman! Siguradong matutuwa ang mga kustomer dito — pati na ang mga kasamahan namin.
Mami: At saka… ka-miyembro ninyo si Forte Stollen, di ba?
Matthew Luke: Ah, oo. Bakit naman?
Mami: Tuturuan ko kasi siya ng isang secret rifle technique… ang Tiro Finale!
Matthew Luke: OK lang sa amin. Walang problema.

And thus, both Joelle and Mami are recruited as the stronghold’s inn staff.

While playing Ar tonelico 2: Melody of Metafalica, Matthew Luke and Hyacinth are interrupted by a phone call.

Matthew Luke: Hello, this is Nueva Liga Filipina. May I help you?
Woman on the line: Hello din. Tawagin mo akong “Pinacolada Neko”. Sorry kung ngayon lang ako nakatawag dahil sa sobrang busy na schedule ko… pero nasa pangangalaga ninyo yung Raijin-Oh team, di ba?
Matthew Luke: Ah, oo. Yung lider ng Raijin-Oh team ay si Jin Hyuga, di ba?
Pinacolada Neko: Tumpak. Nagyon, dahil sa wakas ay makakasumpong ko sila ulit… bigyan mo ako ng address ng Balay Kapatiran.
Matthew Luke: OK. Pero I need to have a background check on you first.
Pinacolada Neko: Sige. I’m on my way. Bye.

A few hours later, the girl with the nickname “Pinacolada Neko” arrived at Balay Kapatiran. The childhood friends welcome her.

Hyacinth: Hello sa iyo.
Pinacolada Neko: Hello din. Ngayon… pwede na bang ipakita ninyo ang Raijin-Oh team sa akin?
Hyacinth: Sure.

The Raijin-Oh team was then presented to the girl, and they all welcomed each other with open arms.

Jin: Ate Neko! Salamat at nakita ko kayo! Saan ba kayo nagsususuot, ha?
Pinacolada Neko: OK… ipapaliwanag ko.

The girl explained her past with the team. It turns out that she discovered the team — who are among the characters who were warped to the Philippines after the EDSA War — and safeguarded them when she discovered that the kids had amnesia and were about to be captured by the police for looking like streetchildren. She found the team at Rizal Park.

What’s even more amazing… the kids and the girl know each other very well. Due to that, the kids’ memories were restored, and they suddenly recalled their mission when they heard the news about the invasion of the Pinoy Big Brother house back in April 2006. The Raijin-Oh team left without warning, leaving the girl alone in her household. What’s worse, her tight schedule as an animator prevented her to reunite with the team. Now that she has retired from her old job, she gained the opportunity to reunite with her old friends.

Matthew Luke: Hmmm… ngayon ay pinagkakatiwalaan ka namin ngayon. Di ko na kailangan ng background check.
Pinacolada Neko: At ngayon ay ipapakilala ko na ang sarili ko. Ako ay si Anna Yuma Sta. Ana, but you may call me “Pinacolada Neko” or simply “Neko” instead. I was an animator, but then I retired. Gusto ko na ngayong maging detective, eh.
Hyacinth: Uhhh… bakit naman? Hindi ka naman mukhang detective, eh.
Pinacolada Neko: Appearances can be deceiving, di ba? Pero… I have knowledge on what you and your army have gone through… and what you will be facing in the future.

The girl then demonstrated her skill as a detective. She wrote a note and presented it to Matt. The note said: “Seven men, seven women… and four auxilliary couples.”

Matthew Luke: Wow… perceptive skills, huh? Makakatulong ang talento mo, in my humble opinion. Sige… kabilang ka na ngayon sa aming samahan, ang Nueva Liga Filipina.

The Tenkai Star and the Chiyu Star then shake hands.

The Ren’ai Rangers are currently watching several tokusatsu DVD’s given to them by Matthew Luke and Hyacinth in the living room as a means of boosting their morale when suddenly, a doorbell interrupts their watching.

Mizuki: Rrgh! Sino ba yung nagdo-doorbell nang walang patumangga? Walang respeto.
Asa: Wait lang! Tatawagan ko sina Matt at Hyacinth.

The six girls paused their watching and called the childhood friends.

Saber: Matt, Hyacinth, may tao sa labas. Baka isa iyong potential recruit… kung hindi nagkakamali ang hula ni Pinacolada Neko kahapon.
Matthew Luke: Sige. We’ll deal with him ASAP.

The childhood friends then left the rangers in peace, and then opened the front door. They were greeted by an average-looking man wearing a semi-formal business outfit, plus a coat containing several wares.

Man: Hello, stranger! What are you buying? Hindi ako sigurado kung ano talaga ang ibinebenta ko, pero ibebenta ko ito sa halagang 1,000 pix!
Hyacinth: (pause, followed by a nonchalant glare) Huh?
Matthew Luke: Mukhang hindi ka bahagi ng sindikato… pero ginagaya mo ang tatlong idol mo: sina Recette Lemongrass ng Recettear, yung Merchant mula sa Resident Evil 4, at si Rinnosuke Morichika ng Touhou.
Man: Ahahaha! Tumpak! Tumpak! Kilala mo pala ang mga iyon! Ikaw nga ang lider ng Nueva Liga Filipina: isang hardcore fan!
Hyacinth: Ehehe… tama ka. Pati ako, nahahawa sa pagiging fan niya. Yun pala, sino ka?
Nigel: Ako? Ehem. (clears throat) Ako ay si Nigel Santillan, isang ordinaryong lalaki na nagangarap maging salesman. Gusto ko ngang sumali sa Nueva Liga Filipina dahil meron akong mga gamit na pwedeng gamitin ng inyong samahan… kapalit siyempre ng pera.
Matthew Luke: Hmm… pero bago ka namin isali sa samahan… titignan namin yung mga ibinebenta mo. Kung hindi sila depektibo… pasok ka na.
Nigel: Sige! Payag ako sa kundisyon mo! May kumpiyansa nga ako sa mga ibinebenta ko, eh.

The childhood friends then inspect and test Nigel’s wares: several healing potions, several mana potions, status-enhancing and -altering items, and, for some reason, bottles of Garutay(TM) Shampoo and tubes of Ngiping Hiwa-hiwalay(TM) Toothpaste (with a free toothbrush for each tube).

Hyacinth: Nge! Ano ba namang klaseng mga brand names na iyan? Baka binobola n’yo lang kami.
Nigel: Hindeeeeh. Sabi kasi ng supplier ko… talagang sinadyang pinangangalan ang mga produktong iyon para makapukaw ng atensyon mg mga mamimili. But as they say… don’t judge a book by its cover.
Matthew Luke: Sige. For all intents and purposes… pasok ka na sa samahan namin. Kungsabagay… mabisa talaga ang mga produkto mo. Or else, mabibitag ka sana ni Sir Tulfo dahil sa panloloko.
Nigel: YESSSSS!!! Salamat, salamat, salamat! Eh… alam ko naman na nandito rin sa samahan ninyo si Sir Bitag, kaya talagang pumili lang ako ng mga talagang de-kalidad na produkto.

And thus, Nigel Santillan is recruited as the stronghold’s item shop owner. And by the way, right after his recruitment, Nigel hangs the portraits of his idols — Recette, the Merchant, and Rinnosuke — in the space provided to him at the stronghold.

March 19, 2007. Another season of Pinoy Big Brother has begun and is currently running for almost four weeks now. It’s actually the second season, not counting the celebrity and teen editions.

Unlike before, there is a new system in place, and it is called the “Secret Housemate Twist”. Aside from the first two batches of housemates, four additional housemates were made to enter an adjacent area where they would be kept hidden from the rest of the housemates except for two: Ezekiel Joshua “Zeke” Dimaguila, the first housemate to enter, and Dionne Dennia Monsanto, the last one. From the four, only two became official housemates after undergoing a public voting.

Unfortunately, Jeremy Legazpi Hidano, the prospective otaku housemate and one of the four secret housemates, got booted out of the house after not garnering enough votes to be billed an official housemate.

Well, at least that’s what’s reported on the surface. But there’s a deep, dark secret behind this development, and this is what Jeremy wants to find out for himself. Fueled neither by jealousy nor by a desire to hog attention, he takes on another persona to expose the truth. That persona is OmegaBreak, the Dawn Detective.

With his BraceThrottle that not just transforms him into a gleaming suited warrior, but can also call upon the powers of his favorite Japanese voice actors and actresses; he sets out on a reconnaissance mission to the Big Brother House.

But being a greenhorn in these types of missions, he is easily detected by a commandeering woman: the housemate named Wendy Valdez.

Wendy: Hoy! Anong ginagawa mo diyan?
Jeremy: Alam kong may nangyayaring anomalya dito sa Bahay ni Kuya, kaya nag-iimbestiga ako!
Wendy: Ah… Ikaw si Jeremy Hidano, di ba? Gusto mo ba talagang bumalik gayong pinalayas ka rito?
Jeremy: Oo. Gamit itong sandatang hiniram ko mula sa pinakamamahal kong ina!
Wendy: Pwes… makakalusot ka kaya rito?

Wendy summons a bunch of robotic mooks.

After a moment of silence and sneering from the mooks, Jeremy readies himself, showing the BraceThrottle in his wrist (actually a morpher toy which was refashioned as a weapon), and…

Jeremy: (slow mo) QCPD, Emergency!

Flicking the switch, the background changes to a shining white tunnel that accelerates by itself. The morpher then releases a hologram of the battle suit he will wear. He runs along the tunnel, does a 900-degree backflip and lands flawlessly, and then his body absorbs the hologram suit, materializing it.

Jeremy: Face on!

A helmet then materializes, completely covering his head. The transformation is complete.

Jeremy: Ako ang wawasak sa kadiliman ng kasamaan! Ako ang magbibigay-liwanag sa mga nangangailangan! Mirai no Chikara! OmegaBreak!
Wendy: Hmph. Pa-transform-transform ka pa, ha? Sige, mga kampon… SUGOD!

A BATTLE COMMENCES!

Jeremy chooses to attack Ironhead Krybot G. He deals 245 damage to Ironhead Krybot G.
Ironhead Krybot A chooses to attack Jeremy. He deals 43 damage to Jeremy.

Ironhead Krybot C chooses to attack Jeremy. He deals 41 damage to Jeremy.

The rest of the Ironhead Krybots decide to rain laser pellets on Jeremy. However, Jeremy manages to catch all the pellets with his hand. The techinque used is the BraceThrottle’s innate super-speed ability. No damage is dealt.
Jeremy chooses to cast Seiyuu Shoukan: Tomokazu Sugita on all enemies.

Jeremy: (while revving the throttle part of the BraceThrottle) BraceThrottle! Seiyuu Shoukan: Tomokazu Sugita!

Holograms of Kyon, Kivat-Bat the III, and Kamen Rider Strike appear and begin their blitzkrieg on all enemies. They all deal 850 damage to each enemy. All enemies are KO’d.

BATTLE WON!

Wendy: Grr! Pasaway ka! Kung gayon ay… ako mismo ang tatapos sa iyo! Ha!

Wendy’s face then transforms into a more horrendrous form. She sports two horns, lifeless eyes, and squidlike tentacles that cover her mouth.

Jeremy: Kapag natalo kita, abot-tanaw ko na ang katotohanan!
Wendy: Sige lang. Abot-tanaw mo na ang kabiguan!

A BOSS BATTLE COMMENCES!

Ally: Jeremy

Jeremy chooses to cast Seiyuu Shoukan: Yui Horie on all enemies.

Jeremy: (while revving the throttle part of the BraceThrottle) BraceThrottle! Seiyuu Shoukan: Yui Horie!

Holograms of Minori Kushieda, Eri Sawachika, and Naru Narusegawa appear and singlehandedly beat up Wendemonya. But Wendemonya deftly dodges the attack!

Jeremy: Ano?! Hindi gumana ang summoning ko?!
Wendy: Sinabi ko sa iyo, eh. Kahit ano pa ang gawin mong ‘imbestigasyon’… ako pa rin ang magiging number one housemate ni Kuya! Kahit ano pang harang… ay wawasakin ko!

Wendemonya chooses to cast Witch’s Brimstone Domination, her Mystic Arte, on Jeremy.

Wendy: Ahahahaha. Hamak na bulate!

With her power of domination over every other housemate, Wendy unleashes all her magical fury. She deals 9999 damage to Jeremy. Jeremy is KO’d.

BATTLE ENDED.

After she reverted to her normal form…

Wendy: Ahahahaha!!! Ito ang napapala ng mga nagangahas na lumaban sa akin! Oras na para sa tiro de gracia ko!

Wendy brings out the Samurai Edge, Albert Wesker’s favorite handgun, to attempt a mercy shot on the now-unconsicous Jeremy. However, a column of light engulfed Jeremy’s body. The column disappears along with Jeremy himself.

Wendy: Anong nangyari?! Di bale na. Hindi na makakahadlang ang hinayupak na ex-housemate na iyon. Ngayon… aking mahal na Bruce…

With her charm magic, she entices Bruce Quebral, a fellow housemate and model.

Wendy: (seductive voice) Ngayon, aking Bruce… tulungan mo akong maging ultimate housemate ni Kuya. Basta susunod ka at ang ibang mga housemates natin sa aking kagustuhan.
Bruce: (lifeless voice) Opo, Mistress Wendy.

For Matt and Hyacinth, their entire adventure has almost reached its first year. That year alone was full of adventures and challenges leading to the creation and mobilization of the Nueva Liga Filipina.

9:35 pm. The childhood friends are asleep. In their sleep, they share a dream.

They are in a middle of a vast valley, surrounded mostly by grass, with some trees and a small chapel that shows its exquisite antiquity.

Matthew Luke: Hindi ba ito… isang “dive”?
Hyacinth: “Dive”?
Matthew Luke: Di mo ba naalala yung Ar tonelico series? Ang “dive” ay ang proseso ng pagpasok sa isipan ng isang Reyvateil.
Hyacinth: Oo nga, no? Medyo na-turn off ako sa mga innuendong ipinapakita roon.

They choose to wander the vast fields in search of a clue. A clue that will lead them to what their dream’s true message is.

While Matt and Hyacinth are dreaming, the other NLF members who are still awake reminisce on their involvement in the adventure.

At the very rooftop of Balay Kapatiran, Setsumi stares at the clear night sky.

Setsumi: Himeko… alam ko ang nararamdaman mo… magkalayo tayo… Ngunit… magkalapit rin tayo… Itinuro mo sa akin na hindi palaging masalimuot ang buhay, tulad ng naranasan ko sa ikapitong palapag… basta’t manalig ka na lang sa Poong Maykapal… Ako naman… hindi ako masyadong relihiyoso… ngunit alam ko… na nabubuhay ako sa pangalawang pagkakataong ito… para sa isang dahilan…

A silent, gentle wind blows.

Setsumi: Kailangan ko pang tapusin ang paglalakbay na ito… kasama ang dalawang bata… para malaman ko ang dahilang iyon.

While Sandara and Joseph are fast asleep, Hero listens to a certain radio station in the room designated for the three of them. There, he chances upon an advertisement.

Announcer A: In the tradition of “John en Marsha” and “John en Shirley”… comes this Tales of Legendia spin-off sitcom: “Senel en Shirley”! Starring… Chloe Valens, Will Raynard, Norma Beatty, Moses Sandor, Jay the Unseen, Grune, and of course, Senel Coolidge and Shirley Fennes. The script is written by none other than the King of Comedy himself, Dolphy!

Chloe: Dapat ninyong malaman… kahit na sitcom ito… hindi dapat mang-aagaw ng atensyon sina Moses at Norma! Kaya nga ito’y tinatawag na “Senel en Shirley”, hindi “Moses en Norma”!
Moses & Norma: Tinatawag n’yo ba kami?!

Announcer A: Ahem. Before anything bad happens… “Senel en Shirley”! Coming soon on TV5!

Hero’s reaction?

Hero: Uy. Me bago. Mula noong napatalsik si DJ Mo… unti-unting bumubuti ang mga programa ngayon sa TV! That’s good news to all those jaded viewers who are sick of the ratings game!

But as he stares out the open window and the approaching-summer wind greets his face…

Hero: Pero… ano na ang nararamdaman ko? Alam ng lahat na tapos na ang network war, ngunit… may paparating na malaking panganib… isang panganib na mas malala sa mga naranasan namin ni Sandara at nina Hiroyuki at Akari… Nasaan pala kaya ang dalawang iyon…?

Inside the room designated for the Ren’ai Rangers, Mizuki listens to the same radio program as Hero’s, while the rest of the team is asleep. She then chances upon another advertisement.

Kyon: Haruhi Suzumiya, dahil sa nakakaasiwa mong “Endless Eight”, ibe-vent kita!
Haruhi: Subukan mo lang, hamak na mortal. Lalabanan mo ang isang diyos?
Kyon: Oo. Gamit ito.

Kyon brings out his Advent Deck, and the energy from it produces a belt.

Kyon: KAMEN RIDER!

He inserts the deck into the belt. The deck spins and creates a force field that transforms him into… Kamen Rider Strike.

Kyon: Tikman mo ang kamandag ko!
Haruhi: Sige lang, Kyon. Malilintikan ka sa pagsuway mo sa akin at sa aking magandang palabas.

Kyon and Haruhi clash across the city, causing some collateral damage. The clash goes into attrition, so Kyon decides to unleash his ultimate move.

He brings out a card from his deck and inserts it into the Veno Visor, his personal weapon.

Veno Visor’s voice: FINAL VENT.

Mizuki: Isang pinaghalong anime at tokusatsu show? Naalala ko tuloy ang isang kaibigan ni Kazuki na mahilig sa mga tokusatsu show… Hmm… sasabihin ko ba sa kanya ang pagiging ranger ko pagkatapos ng lahat ng ito? Heh… matutuwa siya.

She stares at the window for a bit, and then…

Mizuki: Pero… ano ba talaga ang pakay ng summoner na iyon na nagpadala sa akin at kina Asa, Ayu, Misuzu, Arcueid, at Saber sa Pilipinas? Tanging kaming anim lang ang sasagot sa tanong na ito. Matt… Hyacinth… tulungan n’yo kaming hanapin ang kasagutang iyon…

While her petit soeur Yumi is under the Sandman’s spell, Sachiko listens to the same radio program as Hero’s and Mizuki’s. And yes, it’s still advertisement time.

Announcer C: Introducing the latest entry in the Pia Carrot series: Welcome to Pia Carrot! 7.5. See how Pia Guanio, Pia Cayetano, Pia Arcangel, Pia Hontiveros, and Pia Moran, who are all collectively known as the “Obras Pias”, work at the famous Pia Carrot restaurant! And guess who’s the protagonist this time? He’s none other than Piolo Pascual! Yes!

Piolo: Dahil may mga kaibigan akong mga restaurant owners, chicken feed lang ang trabahong ito para sa akin. Pero ang gusto ko… si Juday dapat ang cook dito sa Pia Carrot.

Sachiko: Isang dating sim… narinig ko mismo mula kay Matt na isa siyang fan ng mga ganoong laro… Nakakamangha na kayang pagbalansehin nina Matt at Hyacinth ang paglalakbay at paglalaro… Ayaw sana namin ni Yumi na mainggit, pero…

The same evening breeze greeted her and accentuated her long, straight, jet-black hair.

Sachiko: May nararamdaman akong kaba. Isang kakaibang kaba. Kung ano talaga ito… hindi ko alam. Ngunit ito ay isang senyales ng paparating na bugso…

Outside, at the practice field, Gerald practices his sword skills. He personally has to improve his swinging speed, especially for the fact that he wields a two-handed sword in combat.

Gerald: (while swinging) Hragh! Hah! Hooryah!

He feels that he has trained himself enough for the evening, so he decides to head inside and sleep. When he steps into the garden (which is just beside the practice field), he chances upon Nene.

Gerald: Oh, Nene. Anong ginagawa mo rito?
Nene: Ako? Naglalakad lang. Ewan ko ba… hindi ako makatulog.
Gerald: Heh. Tuwing gabi kasi ako nagsasanay sa paggamit ng two-handed sword, eh. Ugali ko na ito mula noong pinasali ako nina Matt at Hyacinth.
Nene: Hmmm? Baka ginagawa mo ito para lang mapa-impress si Kim, no?
Gerald: (slight blush) N-Nene?! Ano ba ang sinasabi mo? Me kanya-kanya kasi kaming training regimen ni Kim, eh! Kung sa gabi ako nagte-training, ginagawa ito ni Kim sa umaga.
Nene: OK lang naman sa akin yun.

Just then, Forte shows up.

Nene: Ikaw pala, Forte.
Forte: Hi sa ‘yo, Nene. Pati na rin kay Gerald.
Gerald: Walang anuman, Forte. Siguro ay naghahanap ka ng mga cleaning tools para sa mga baril mo? Ikinuwento kasi sa akin minsan ni Milfeulle na lab na lab mo ang mga iyon, lalo na yung mga rare firearms.
Forte: Tumpak.
Nene: Yun pala… gusto kong sabihin sa inyong dalawa ito, eh.
Gerald & Forte: Ano iyon?
Nene: Matagal ko kasi itong pinag-iisipan… may mga haka-haka sa samahang ito na may mga titiwalag na miyembro. Ewan ko nga ba kung totoo ang mga ito.
Gerald: May titiwalag? Eh bakit naman?
Nene: Noong isang araw… habang nasa cleaning duty ang buong Galaxy Angel Brigade, meron akong nakitang basag na wine glass sa loob ng kuwarto ni Sir Gabby. Suspetsa ko… hindi aksidente ang pagkakabagsak nito, kundi sinadya.
Forte: Kung sinadya nga… malamang… may isang pangyayari na lubos na ikinagalit niya.
Nene: Oo. Pero di ko ikakalat ang dahilan ng pagkagalit niya, dahil lilikha ito ng domino effect na posibleng magpapatumba sa Nueva Liga Filipina.
Gerald: Tama nga ang sinabi mo, Nene. Manghihinayang sina Matt at Hyacinth kung ang samahang pinaghirapan nila ng halos isang taon…
Forte: …ay basta-basta na lang mawawala. Nakikita ko kasi sa kanilang mga mata ang pagiging pursigido. Walang ningas-kugon.

The three breathe a collective sigh.

Meanwhile, Toni and Sam are listening to the same radio station as Hero, Mizuki, and Sachiko.

DJ: Good evening, our dear listeners. The time now is 9:45. You are still listening to the “Night of Reflection”, bringing you only the choicest of music that will get you thinking, reflecting, and reminiscing. Our next song is by a Japanese indie musician named “doriko”. Using the popular Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku, here is… “Letter Song”.

Toni: Oh! Inirekomenda sa akin ni Hyacinth ang kantang iyon. Buti na lang, binigyan niya ako ng lyrics at translation.
Sam: Good for you. I’ve been wanting to understand that song.

And so, the two start singing along.

Sam: Wow! This song is really packed with meaning beyond the usual J-pop fare.
Toni: Good thing they have good musical tastes. I think this song is growing on us… and reminds us that the most important essence of a song… is its message.

The pre-summer night wind bears witness to the reflections… which will lead to the summer of something that will shake the foundations of this respectable organization.

And now, we’re back to the childhood friends’ dream.

Matt and Hyacinth enter the chapel in the middle of the vast field, and inside lies something resembling a shrine.

In fact, the shrine in question is Maria Makiling’s.

But instead of the maiden greeting them… the first three Blessed Beings showed up in her stead.

Yuuichi, Yukito, Kazuki: Maligayang pagdating… aming mga “sisidlan” at kaagapay.
Matthew Luke: Hmm… ito yata ang unang pagkakataon na nagpakita nang sabay-sabay ang mga Pinagpipitagang Nilalang.
Fran: Oo. Dahil kahit bahagi na kami ng inyong mga pagkatao, may konsensya pa rin kami mula sa mga pinanggalingan namin.

The dimension-crossing young man named Tsukasa Kadoya arrives at a separate location within Kris Aquino’s Shadow Palace. With him are Natsumi Hikari, the young woman, and Yuusuke Onodera, the second individual to be Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Tsukasa: Hmm… sinabi ni Lolo Eijiro na nababalot ngayon ng isang matinding kadiliman ang Pilipinas… kung hindi siya nagkakamali, isang babae ang may gawa nito.

The tree continue their talk as they walk along the depths of the palace. At the great door which leads presumably to Kris’ room, the two groups meet.

Matthew Luke: Tigil! Sino ba kayong tatlo?
Tsukasa: Huh? Pinagsusupetsahan n’yo kami na mga kalaban kami?
Hyacinth: Hindi sa pinagsuspetsahan ko kayo. Nagtatanong lang kami kung ano ang sadya ninyo dito sa Kris Aquino’s Shadow Palace.
Yuusuke: Aaahhh… iyon pala ang pangalan ng lugar na ito. Madilim ito, parang bahay ng bampira. Siguro… matutuwa si Wataru dito.

The three introduce themselves and explain their purpose for arriving there.

Tsukasa: Kayo pala ang tinatawag na Nueva Liga Filipina, ang organisasyong pipigil sa kadilimang namumuo dito sa Pilipinas. Kami naman ay napadpad dito dahil sa isang di-pangkaraniwang paraan. Ang keyword ay… dimensiyon.
Matthew Luke: Dimensiyon…

Just then, they all hear whispers that allegedly come from the door.

????: Pagbabayaran ninyo ang ginawa sa amin… kayong mga ahas na nagpapayaman sa sarili na lumalakad sa baluktot na daan… kami lang ang sagrado… kami lang ang dadala sa mga tao sa daang matuwid…

Dr. Belo: Boses yata iyon ni Kris… parang mensahe ng pangungutya laban sa mga maraming kalaban ng mga Aquino…
Hyacinth: Oo. Pero… meron tayong mga kasama sa Nueva Liga Filipina na kaalyado ng mga Aquino. Anong mangyayari sa kanila kapag natalo natin si Kris?
Matthew Luke: Ayokong isipin pa ito. *sigh* Sige, Tsukasa, Yuusuke, Natsumi, tulungan n’yo kaming buksan ang pintong ito.

They all proceed to push the door, but then they hear another voice. This time it belongs to a man.

James’ voice: Makinig kayo, mga miyembro ng Nueva Liga Filipina. Ako si James Yap, ang asawa ni Kris Aquino. Kung nagtataka kayo kung bakit kinidnap ako ng sarili kong asawa, ito ay dahil sa kanyang salamangka. Para siyang… sinasaniban ng isang makapangyarihang nilalang na kapantay ang Diyos sa lakas…
Matthew Luke: Yun pala… sinabi pala ni Kris na gagawin ka raw niyang First Gentleman kapag siya ang namuno…
James’ voice: Oo. Napaka-possessive niya, bukod sa pagiging taklesa niya. Minsan, napag-isip-isip ko na iwanan siya pagkatapos isilang ang magiging anak namin… dahil baka sa hinaharap… mas lalala ang kanyang attitude problems, lalo na kapag nahuli niya akong nakikipaglandian daw sa isa pang babae… at lalo na kapag dumating ang halalan para sa susunod na pangulo…
Hyacinth: Pero bakit hindi mo ito ginagawa?
James’ voice: Ewan ko ba kung ano ang tunay na moralidad ngayon. Kadalasan kasi… relihiyoso tayo, pero hindi natin isinasapuso ang tunay na diwa ng relihiyon…

The voice then fades into thin air. As the combined group opens the door, there has been some discussion about the dimension-crossing individuals back at the base.

Mr. Tulfo: Hmm… based on extensive research by our intelligence personnel, nalaman natin kung sino ang tatlong iyon. Isa sa mga iyon si Tsukasa Kadoya, a.k.a. Masked Rider Decade.
Cristy: (via encrypted voice chat) Masked Rider Decade? Ang Masked Rider na kilala ng karamihan dito sa Pilipinas ay si Robert Akizuki, a.k.a. Masked Rider Black.
Mr. Tulfo: Oo. Alam natin na hindi isa ang Masked Rider ngayon. Mayroong kapangyarihan si Mr. Kadoya na mag-transform into other Masked Riders besides his default form. Isa iyon sa mga dahilan kung bakit siya ay tinatawag na… “demonyo”.
Cristy: Demonyo? Eh di nakakatakot pala siya! Eh bakit nakikipagtulungan siya sa atin?
Mr. Tulfo: Hindi lahat ng mga demonyo ay masama. Tulad ng example na binigay sa akin ni Master Matthew Luke… yung isang demonyong nagngangalang Sparda ang nagligtas sa sangkatauhan mula sa mga kapwa niya demonyo…

The two sides continue on exchanging arguments as if in a debate. Tsukasa can’t stand it anymore, so be brings out the Decadriver and wraps it around his waist.

Yuusuke: Naku naman! Hayaan nating mapanis ang laway nila sa kakadaldal!
Dr. Belo: Mr. Kadoya, sandali la…

But it was too late for the dimension-crosser to turn back now. He brings out a card.

Tsukasa: Rider Change!

He then inserts the card into the Decadriver.

Voice of the Decadriver: KAMEN RIDE: DECADE!

Holograms of the ten Heisei-era Kamen Riders then appear around him and merge into his body, transforming him into the magenta armed warrior.

Tsukasa: (taps the childhood friend’s shoulders) Hoy, kayong dalawa.
Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: Tsukasa?
Tsukasa: Sa inyo na lang ang dalawang card na ito. Ewan ko ba sa mga ito… hindi sila gumagana sa Decadriver ko.

They receive the cards. The cards flashed brightly once they are in contact with their bracelets. While wondering why that happened, Kris lets out an invisible beam to ambush them, but a more blinding light surfaced.

Once the light has dissipated, the childhood friends are unharmed. The bracelets’ third jewels glow brightly, which amazed them. The cards are really the Third Blessed Beings, Kazuki Sendoh and Flonne.

A hologram of Eric Cartman appears, and he immediately breaks into song.

Mayor Duterte: Congratulations sa pagsugpo sa mga kriminal. Sino ba namang mag-aakalang mga ilusyong gawa ni Trillanes ang mga iyon? Di bale. Matindi pa rin ang ginagawang pursuit operations ng mga law-enforcement agencies sa kanya, kaya makakapokus kayo sa dapat ninyong gawin. That reminds me. Sina Hero Angeles, Sandara Park, at ang robot maid na si Multi… nakasaksi ako sa katapangang ipinakita nila.
